There's an ominous crunch between 2nd and 3rd at high revs, so I'm guessing a new/recon 'box & new clutch are in order.

How much can I be expecting to pay for this, fitted, and is there a great deal of difference price & quality-wise between new and recon? Do most people go for the OEM clutch, or is there a better alternative? (The car is standard)

 

i was told its a grand for a new one with the transferbox as it cant be bought seperatly but recently some peeps in the know on here said you can get them seperatly still woodfords told me a grand!!!!!

 

i'm sure A1 rally sport sell them for £550. new.

 

had one rebuilt several yrs ago and it was around £400
