Wapster Needs Help
Davey is considering getting a new car after getting rid of his beloved RS500 earlier in the year. At the mo it's either gonna be a three door 
or an M3 
...
.. so as good friends we're trying to justify the purchase of a new RS. So far our reasons include:
1: He knows what he's doing with them.
2: He knows the good tuners.
3: They have a turbo.
4: They look better.
5: They sound better.
6: They are better.
7: He will be gutted when he gets beaten by my old Ford
8: I hate *most* BMW drivers.. and he has to live with me.
9: He'll be able to shove it on a stand at shows rather than park in the carpark with all the Novas.
10: His girlfriend Popeye has one.
Oh and 11: It's an RS.
Anyone got any more?

Well I just phoned him also to annoy him,,,pmsl!!
He duno, he can't decide,,,,so ho hum!?!?!?
2 different types of motors and cola huni,,,can totally see ya point, and as I said to him, he could get bored with the M3.
He said he didn't want to turn up to meetings in a cossie,,,,cos it don't look good, but as I said, if people judge ya by what car ya drive, fook em anyway!
I like both,,,,so think if it was my choice,,,,,I'd have to get someone else to make it for me!
He said his got a very heavy right foot,,,,,so would prob always be fixing the RS, however my mate had an M3,,,,in the very lursh cherry red colour,,,fooking stunning, he broke it,,,,,twice,,,,and it was brand new,,,,pmsl!!
Thing is though with the new M3's did anyone on here know that there is actually a recall out on them for an engine mod, as my mates one had only done pitance mileage and then engine blew! BMW said that it was under warranty (thank fook) and that there was an engine recall on them, However, twas too expensive to do the recall, so they let em brake,,,,,then fix em,,,, quailty,,,lmao!
So if his right foot is this heavy,,,,,,perhaps,,,,,well gonna be the same of course in the BM,,,,& that will break too eventually,,,,pmsl!
Personally,,,,,,I think he'd have much more fun in the RS,,,,,,!
As cola said,,,,,he can go out to play with his girlie,,,POPs then too!!
when they both had them and I went over B&Q one night,,,,this is fooking ages ago when USL used to do Essex,,,,,they both drove em like they'd just stole em,,,,it was quailty,,,,,how they are supposed to be driven

(are we talking about the original E30 M3 or the E36? .. obviously not the E46 )

Its only the E46's (new shape) with major engine problems. Oil Starvation, to crank shells.... engine seize.... TBH I hadn't heard of a recall, but I do know, as much as BMW were initially denying responsibility, they will now rebuild/replace FOC.... Provided the ECU doesnt suggest over-revving or track abuse

He's been there with the RS500 and IMO he'd be hard pushed to get 1 in that condition, any 3dr he gets is constantly going to be compaired to the RS500.
I recon he's thinking along the right lines.
M3 Evo would be my choice in his situation.

ooh i'll let Davey tell ya what he does but he's just taken delivery of a mahoosive new renault Van! unfortunately this replaces his old RWD one which he loved! ..needless to say the new Renault is FWD
