Default Newbie, well sort of anyway, But I have just bought a Ford.

Hi Guys, I've posted on passionford before and my missus already owns a ford but I have just bought one now as well and I gotta say I really love the car.

I was at the Auction house on Monday looking for a cheap run around car to save the Astra undue mileage when I spotted a white P Reg Mondeo Ghia X 2.5V6, It had loads of luxuries that just bowled me over, Electric leather seats, cruise control, air con etc etc,
I bid on the car and won it but it had no MOT or Tax, I booked it in for its MOT at 8.30 this morning (wednesday) and she sailed through so I was straight to the post office for the tax disc and then it was a journey to the car shop for the tax disc holder,

I have spent just about all of today in the car and I really do like it, Its so nice to drive and the cruise control is fantastic as it the air con.
Going over bumps is great now with the big tyres, the Astra is on 35 series tyres so I spend most of the time concentrating on pot holes and imperfection in the road which is really annoying and stresses me out when I hit them by accident, but now I can drive smoothly and in a straight line without getting stressed or headaches from concentrating on the road too much.

Theres no radio because someone has nabbed the front and its quite a rare item but other than that the car is brilliant,
I'm sure i'll be keeping it for a long time,
So now me and the missus both have fords.....
I've already posted a few questions in the tech help forum so thanks for the replies I have got,
Regards Bren

Pictures coming shortly.
The noise from the v6 sounds great, I might get a bigger exhaust system to spice it up a little.

post some pics from your missus
Bugger, I though you meant my ride , no, i mean my car , thought it was the ford boys slang word for my new car.
my missus is fantastic , theres the odd pic of her on my website but they are tucked away very discreet, wanna keep her to myslef.....heres one I dug out for you though,

The car is low mileage, 68,000 with previous bills for work going back its whole life that authenticate the mileage, also has some history....
I feel I got a bargain and would want a little over 2 grand.
now this sounds like an advert, ha ha.....

She has a weekly job then on a weekend she's a singer, working every fri, sat and sun night.

I've just been looking in the search section for a new set of wheels for the car, maybe 17's but I cant find any pics, Has anyone put bigger wheels on there mondeo and if so could they post some pics up please,
Thanks,
Regards Bren

ha ha, i'll leave it on the Astra thanks...

Dave Green, sorry mate, I dont know ToyBoy.

The Astra was a 1.4, its got full GSi exterior,
www.astraturbo.com is my site, it shows the car from the very first day I bought it and progresses to how it is now.

Thanks guys,
Hi Ste,,,
The mondeo is going great,
I went to that party in the park festival in her yesterday, when it finished there were 70,000 people trying to get out and there were only 3 exits, the sun was belting down and tempers were getting raised.
I was sat chilled out with the windows up and the air con on full chat.
What a great bit of kit that is, then it was cruise controlled along the A64 all the way to york,
Its like a rolls royce compared to my other run around, a vauxhall astramax van...
A guy on e-bay is sourcing me a front panel for the radio, he says it will be £15.

Thanks for the welcome,
