Default My RR Graphs.........

Here are the graphs from my 2 set's of Power Runs that were both done this week. There were no changes made to the set-up of the car leading up to or between these 2 runs. The car is exactly as it was at Brunters in November. Sorry about the Digi photo's of the graphs!!

First, SCA in Norwich........

It is clear from this run that the car lost traction as it peaked in boost, hence the high peak Torque figure. However, once it regained traction, the remainder of the run is smooth and as expected.

289.1bhp at the wheels.
and I would estimate a more believable peak of 290lb/ft of Torque and around 275lb/ft Torque at 6000rpm.

Next, todays run at Power Engineering.......

The only really odd thing about that run is the RPM point at which peak power was achieved. My car rev's to 7000rpm and it clearly hit the limiter. However, if you stand back and analyse both sets of figures, they are actually remarkably close.

So, overall I am over the moon with the results. Comfortably into the 300bhp bracket on a standard Crank, standard Head Gasket and standard Cast Exhaust Manifold.

Chris at PE commented that he thought that it would benefit from more advance at the top. This was mainly due to the fact that the Exhaust Manifold around the collector was practically transparent by the end of the run. More advance would have most likely increased the power slightly. Personally, I think it needs a Tubular Manifold.

Out of interest where you monitoring Intake temp through the power run,
I ran a evo last week and the diff from road to RR was a 4c increase in temp, So you could safely run the cars for a substantal lenght of time with no problems.

This car is something special, i was in 6th and had to find 3/4 to catch up with him (traffic ahead)and he was only 5 car lenghs ahead when he put his foot down and i reacted straight away, it pulled away like nobodys buisness

A very impressive car with loud ALS in tunnels scared the shit out of my misses

That would make sence though as your power isnt dropping of dramaticaly after hitting peak power.

Excellent results for your car Christian. Sounds like an utter beast. I will really have to try and get up to APT one day to take a look at it. I'll have to try and talk pants into driving me there one weekend

Hope the power was as you expected if not better

We had a 400bhp Zetec on a std manifold on the rollers last week so i doubt its that restrictive tbh......

Primary designs are making a manifold fot the rst.... it'll be good but def not cheap

Awesome graph Christian

Regarding the rpm issue, Tims appears to be suffering the same problem - is ur limiter set to 7k?

Yes and my Blitz unit recorded its usual 7100rpm Peak. (it records a very slightly higher peak as most do, due to 'shock' of hitting the limiter).

As above a good manifold should see your peak power beyond 7000rpm & your Peak[read rev limit] display on your Blitz unit wherever you dare rev it to.

Best of luck with wherever you choose to go with your car next, more to come me thinks
