Default Placenta

I have heard this has a very high protein content? I am about to take Gem to hospital, she has been having contractions since 6am this morning.

I want to eat it, is it best straight from the oven (so to speak) or do I cook it first?

It was a long labour and I was looking online while we waited for her contractions to get closer and found this
