Default 15inch Alloys onto a MK5 Fiesta fun with 13inch wheels

I basically wanna update my ford fiesta fun to alloy zetek wheels but my current wheels are 13inch and the alloys i wanna get are 15inch, will i have any issues to just convert it? my car is 1.3 , my friend said my suspension would have to be upgraded and would use more having bigger wheels.....is this true?

thanks

You will be able to run 15" no probs and you won't need to change the suspension either

If your fitting 15's just run a 195 45 15 tyre and you'll be right as rain

Cheers guys for all your info, just one more question, would it use more fuel having bigger wheels?

If your rolling radius stays the same then not at all. Could even go as far as to say that if the new rolling radius is slightly bigger then you would cover more distance on the same amount of fuel but id safely say you would not notice a difference in the slightest

that size is more suited for mk3 fez models etc as mk5s run 50 profile as OE on mk5 zetec S

Unless your 13s are alloys you will need alloy wheel nuts too

no offence to your mate but he does not know what the hell he is talking about as its obvious 15" tyres wont fit on a 13" rim, but 15" tyres fit of 15" rims and whats more they fit the mk4/5 perfect as do 14/15/16 inch wheels fit fine if right offset and correct tyre size for instance, and make sure you get alloy wheel nuts to fit your car as the original steel ones are no good for alloys

14" 175/65/14
15" 195/50/15
16" 195/45/16

I had 15"oz an 16" mondeo alloys on my mk3 never had any problems with either of these sets as above just make sure you get the right offset an tyres as that's where you will have issues with fouling struts or arches
