Default fiesta mk5 heating problem

is the heating controled bye the electronic valve or is there another manual unit?????

This is a very common fault on these cars, its the heater control valve. cant remember part number but get a genuine ford part. easy repair to be honest just type in HCV replacement for a guide

the ebay ones are of a poor quality, i have bought one before and it broke after 1 month. the ford ones are Ł38 but will last.

yeah, good chance to top up your anti freeze while your there, you will prob loose a litre doing the heater control valve. When you have replaced it and topped up the water, let your engine run on tickover for 10 mins with the header tank cap off to get rid of any air locks

Just picked up a new HCV from Ford, was around Ł46 with VAT etc. My heater/AC now works perfectly!

Well worth doing.

i gonna do it next week as its my brother in-laws car he carnt do any diy and ive got to go norwich to do it
