Default My MK4 Fiesta

Bought this as an ebay bargain with the intension to use it to pick the kids up from nursery and for running around. Then out of nowhere this idea to build a track car took over.

It started life as a 1.3 lx which the cam had worn out and ran like a bag of hammers in a washing machine.
My plan now is to fit a 1.8 blacktop zetec and turbo it. I have also bought the rear suspension cradle from a rs2000 4x4 which I thought I could modify and be able to have full adjustment on the rear axle. I now plan to run 4x4 system from mondeo 4x4 with strengthened parts so it doesn't give up on me.
Here is some more pick of the job so far.

More to follow when I get the engine mount made up and can remove the wheels that the engine is resting on.

top progress there chap ur engine has it got the mounting points on the side of the engine around the cambelt as i think u can mod a 2.0 litre mount to go in existing mounting point rather than weld one in

Will have to look out for one of those mounts. I measured up today but the engine needs to go down so at the engine it will be 3 inches lower than the rubber mount and not much room to work in. I have the basic plan in my head but need to get in made in steel.

Well its been awhile since doing some of the car. All engine mounts made and fitted, now I am going to tackle the rear subframe and remove the roof skin. I thought that I might as well make some progress while waiting for the rollcage steel to arrive. Hoping that will arrive soon. Once I have made a bit more progrss I will add more photos to accompany the updates.

Well I am now thinking of selling this car. All parts will come with the car that I have bought ie Engine and gear box, Rear 4x4 cradle and loads of standard parts. What do people think its worth and im open to sensible offers.
