Default Aftermarket stereo MK6 ST 2005

Hi everyone,

I recently purchased a MK6 Fiesta ST 2005.

I'd like to fit an aftermarket stereo(not sure whether to get a single or double din yet) annoyingly this model has the triple dash stereo, I've tried sourcing the official ford replacement for a dash with space for a stereo but I've had no luck so my only option is to cut the bars. After researching for the past hour I haven't been able to find a proper guide on how to do this, I want to make sure it looks professional and stock.. if anyone can give me any advice that would be great as I am looking into getting this done soon.

I'm happy to do this, I'd just like some guidance so I don't mess up.. any help is much appreciated.

its simply a case of cutting it with a steady hand and filing edges down so it does not notice , done it many times over the years its very easy and quick

Okay thankyou, can you recommend a plate that will fit perfectly into this once cut? I'd like a secure fit.

take your time and it will be ok, they rectified this issue on the facelift st150s as they came with larger stereos so you never had to cut them

Yeah I'm just gutted my car was one model off but it is what it is, I'll do it to the best of my ability. I don't suppose you have any pictures of a car you've previously done this to?
