Have you had the ABS/ESP codes read?

I'd advise getting all the codes read (engine ECU, ABS/ESP) on a Ford IDS, this will give the correct fault codes and descriptions.

Ambient temp sensor is behind the front bumper in the centre. (bumper needs to be removed to access)

U codes are faults over the can-bus communications network.

If it was throttle pedal/body you'd have a throttle body/pedal code.

According to ETIS Pre 2/2006 had EGR valves, it's inbetween the coil pack and throttle body (if fitted).

iv had a look in engine bay and the egr valve is not there . don't know if its been blanked but the pipe that goes to it looks like its got a blocker on there also and I cant seem to find the plug that egr plugs into . iv been told prefacelifts do have egr aswell ?
but would any of these give my car the eac fail ? I been told by a ford breaker that for the abs problem I would need a new abs pump/module ? its ment to be a common fault on prefacelifts ?

If the EGR has been removed and not 'coded out' of the ECU it will expect it's there and put in a fault.

No point guessing and changing random parts, it needs diagnosing properly.
