Am i mad people?

i have a 1.3 kent with a racing head so the inlet valves 41.5 mm and the exhaust is 32mm

The pistons are escort 1.1 to raise compresssion

the valves are catching slightly on the edges of the pistons

can i grind out the pistons slightly so they clear with a dremmel or something
make sure they all weigh the same and file off any sharp areas?

technically yes, it just wont look pretty. as long as you dont go too deep, you should be fine. i've heard of people using angle grinders before

 

that was fast

they only catch slightly so its not mass removal.

Any 1 know a place to get 1.1 escort piston rings as i broke 1 being heavy handed?

grinding them is a bit pikey but doable you should really get valve cutouts done at a proper machine shop

 

i am a bit of pikey anyways
