At the moment the Fes is still on the standard cooler. Not sure what I'm going to put on it yet. GRS or Radtec seem to be the strongest contenders so far for full width jobbies

I see that the most of you run on Pro alloy or GRs IC. Have anyone of you tried to make a cosworth IC or a Ic of another car customfit. Because I can get a Sierra coworth IC cheap. Is it worth a try or is it to big for a FRST?

It's all about turbo compressor effeciency.
You dont want to go over board on the intercooler because bigger doesnt mean lower ACT's but it shure means more lag and loosing boost.

Check what compressor you have on the turbo. Check the flowchart and with some math you can know if your compressor is up to the job or not. If you get anything near the 65% island, then consider to hybrid the turbo to a bigger compressor.
Only after getting the turbo to suit your engine's tune you choose the smallest but up to the job intercooler.

I've seen too much ppl going for big GRS's intercooler when fitting a esc cossie std one would make the ACT's almost the same.

No need to waste money and boost for lag.

yea - you may loose boost by adding an over sized intercooler - the pro alloy is proven to give a gain in boost - so it cant be that bad

plus - they have inprorved the design so it dont look pissed anymore

Please correct me if i'm wrong, but do you mean that a sierra cossie ic is to big for the standard turbo? Do any one maybe have some sizes for me of the pro alloy or other frontmounted IC that is used most on FRST.
