Default wheel size and suspension

hey guys, hope u can help as im new to this. I have a 5 door 1993 (K) fiesta LX. I'm thinking of putting sum 6 x 14" wheels on as i have a baby on the way and cant break the bank. Would this size wheel rub anywhere? Also if i lowered the car would i need to do any arch wrk to avoid wheels rubbing, especially with people in the back?
And 1 last thing. Do i need full shock and suspension kit or would jst the springs do?
thanx 4 ne help guys.

You should get away with it rubbing as the alloys fitted as standard to some of the fiestas are 14" so you should be ok. Wouldnt have thought you needed archwork and the you can jus buy the lowering springs if you want but you can get a gmax kit for less than £200 and their pretty good or theres ebay. You could always find someone thas stripping their frst or XR2i or RS1800 and have the suspension off that
