hi all, i am new to fords and would appreciate any help, i have just bought a signal yellow 77, 1.1s. i know nothing about fords i just kinda fell in love with it, and it was such a good bargain, i just had to snap it up! is there anyone here who can give me any advice on this model? any particular problems? availability of parts and values? any help would be greatfully received.

Hi.....you're much better off trying to find information about your car on www.xrtwo.com It's much more geared towards mk1 & 2 fiestas..where most people here seem to be mk3 and on people.

As far as spares for mk1's go...they are in a lot more demand than parts for mk2's.....and can often fetch a LOT of money.
As it goes...I'm selling the innards out of a mk1 1.3S, which is all high spec bits and bobs....and full of little extras...if you treck to xrtwo.com you'll see my for sale ad.

Also..you could try interford/XROC at www.interford.co.uk/forums there's a good group of mk1/2 enthusiasts there!
