Default HOW HARD???

how hard is it to bleed a coolant system on a frst

it's doing my head in

the temp gauge is in the red

which is the best way to get rid
of air from the coolant system

yeah sorry

i should of explained more

i put new piston rings in, so basiclly a rebuilt on the engine, with
new gaskets etc also brand new cylinder head ( all proper ford parts)also it;s just had a new theromstat
there is loads of air but i was running it for about 20 mins and still shit

try putting compressed air through it... then flush with new coolant and then refill

air is prob trapped in the matrix as this is what happened to me, but it sorted it self in the end.
try letting it idle with the cap off and giving it little revs even few mins

try fitting the right thermostat (not the one you fitted first)

I presume you've switched the heaters on full while you got the car running
and leave the header tank cap off

you could drain the system, start the engine then slowly pour the coolent in. worked for me.
