Hi guys,
Need some help.
The Ka (FRST engined) was at AVA, and in order to sort out an oil burning problem they modified the breather system but putting this valve on. See pic below.

Since then, however, it has been making a crazy chirping noise and a rough idle. It is idling about 1500-2000 revs and the revs don't drop when I disengage the clutch... it seems to stick at 2000 for a good 5-10 seconds and then drops down a bit. And sometimes the revs rise and fall by themselves too (by that i mean without me touching the throttle pedal.)
I reckon the problems must be related and I reckon it must be some sort of vacuum leak. I've looked at all the obvious vacuum hoses but can't seemed to find any problems. The noise seems to be coming from low down in the engine bay, but obviously I can't be sure of that.
I don't suppose anyone has experienced any similar problems or would be able to suggest any remedies or routes of investigation?
Thanks in advance,
Euan
