i recently converted from mfi to efi in my erst

i have my idle valve vented to atmosphere without a filter on it at the mo because i havnt sourced a fezzy turbo efi crossover pipe,

my problem is after i blip the throttle the revs run on for abit before returning to idle,

if i squeeze the rubber hose on the idle valve to restrict the gap then the revs go straight back to idle after a blip as it should

would this indicate a dodgy idle valve? or is this acting like this because the idle valve rubber hose is drawing to much air in from atmosphere and needs to be put back to the charge pipe to restrict the air flow abit more?
