Some times my xr2i when i have been driving for a while when im cruising in 3rd gear it starts to jerk and splutter mainly when in gear and i take my foot off acelerator pedel! Also when engine is cold (first started) i have to leave it running for about 5 mins! Dose anyone have any sugestions as to what i can do to sort this out?

 

I had similar problems on mine. I had the early ISCV on the back of my air box so that didin't help.

Try carb cleaner and clean the throttle body inlet and butterfly, also try cleaning the ISCV and spraying WD40 on the connections.

Also, try replacing ur air filter (if it's standard) as that might be restricting air flow if it's old and blocked up with shit
