Can anybody help my dad out with a problem that he is having on his mark 6 fiesta.

"Why when I turn car ignition on, car starts up ok but dashboard instrument lights including petrol gauge etc go dark / out for a few seconds before returning to normal. Petrol gauge when it reappears starts off as flashing progress bar. Doesn’t happen every time – battery problem / electrical problem???



Wouldn’t want to think this is a breakdown waiting to happen"

 

i think you've got a problem with the intrement pannel not sure what though it might just need reprograming
