Default MK1 Escort suspension, brakes, LSD upgrade help

I’m looking for some advice on upgrading the brakes, front and rear suspension and diff on my ST170 MK1 Escort more door.

At the moment it is running capri 2.8 front struts and brakes, English axle on adjustable Gaz shocks with multi leaf springs on 2” lowering blocks.

There seems to be many options and variables where suspension is concerned i.e single leaf / multi leaf springs, decambered or standard leafs, angled / straight anti tramp bars or 4 link kit, Adjustable or fixed panhard rods.

I’m looking to get the best setup for a fast road car I don’t mind compromising comfort for handling.

I’m quite an amateur where mechanics are concerned so I’ll need to know exactly what components i’ll need and everything in between. I would also need recommendations for welders in the greater North London area.

Any advice would be much appreciated, if anyone could paste links to products from www.motorsport-tools.com or elsewhere that would be a good reference point.

To summarise I want to upgrade / install:

• Leaf springs multi or single?
• Panhard rod fixed or adjustable?
• Anti tramp bars or 4 link kit?
• New front struts and disks?
• LSD

Thanks in advance / image for reference

really depends what you want from the car, a set of tramp bars on rear leafs with a twin cam anti roll bar a lot of people love.
bear in mind if you link the rear you then have the watts or panhard rod to fit as well as butchering your rear seat bases to fit over the link boxes.

What I would advise for a fast road car with a little track is convert your existing front Bilstein legs to coilover by the adaptor kit from motorsport tools.
I would then spend the money on a twin cam roll bar and upgrade the diff to a 3j plated(noisy in use) with atlas style 18t sideguard and 2 piece shafts.
I would highly recommend Rally and competition equipment for the axle parts as they are escort specialists and build axles themselves.

hope this helps
