Ebay, forums (posted in wanted) or facebook groups will be your best bet. Might be worth asking Ford but it'll be mega bucks if they do have one

local motor factors supplied me with wrong one, anyhow the young lad that works there with good eyes spotted the very faint part number on old pump. So I've ordered one online which matches the old part number

Hi mate. Could you let me know the part number please? I'm also looking for a fuel pump for my EFI and I'm struggling to pin one down on the motor factor websites as they don't specify whether it's the external or in-tank pump. The one I'm looking for is an in-tank pump.

Great thanks tmorris. I've been looking for the complete assembly for ages - the combined pump and sender but I haven't seen one come up on eBay for ages. So I'll just buy the pump and replace that part of the assembly. I wish the mk4s had an access hole beneath the rear seat - it's such a pain having to take the fuel tank off to get to the pump

Hi tmorris. Just wanted to confirm that this fuel pump was for the mk4. It's just that when I type that serial number into Google, the pumps that are returned look to be for cars after 1990, I.e. Not onwards? (Just wanted to double check veggie right committed myself lol)

No mate I still haven't committed to buying one yet lol. Just wanted to make sure that I was getting the right one. Wish I could've got my old one off beforehand but the garage wants me to buy a new one before I take it.
