K20 Mk4
Hi guys. Now I know it's not the done thing, and it's no longer going to be a true Ford, but has anyone ever fitted a k20 Honda engine into a mk4 Escort?I have a 5 door escort which I have dropped an xr3 lump in, had it bore'd out, oversize pistons, high lift cam, ported and polished head, twin choke Weber carb and it's okay for my daily but still lacks in power, but I've also got a 3 door which I want to build for track, wide body, big power under the hood, the usual thing. So I'm thinking k20 turbo. I'm starting the build next month so was wondering if anyone has ever done it and if so, if they have any advice on it.
thanks

k20 engine and box fits fine
gearboxes are weak when using a turbo
just need springs/retainers
standard engines take about 400bhp before you need the liners doing
twinscroll efr is the way to go but you need to run a big turbo as they are really efficient engines
standard engines with just cams and decent exhaust get you 250bhp
