i am back guys

well - what can i say about the day - got the 12 cars we needed to make the day - big to you all for keeping your word and turning up.

nice weather - nice lot of cars - nice little get together at the end of the show season & every body got home okay, with no RR day breakage's - it did look for one moment if "pete" was trying to

pete - busy winter for you matey, you car should be tons more BHP than mine !!!

and to all you that thought your cars would be near standard

me with my 118bhp,as some of you know - the car is not looked after, its thrashed all the time - but i did get it a full service last weekend - perhaps that help

Glad you all enjoyed the day out - was top stuff from us all - big up to Clare for helping me out with stuff - thanks.

whats next then guys ....... - track day ??? drag stip ???? or RR day 2 ????

see you all's soon

~~paul~~

One sour note. Whoever LEV ***Y is. Thanks for spraying mine and marks cars with gravel when you spun the wheels past them. Mark only paid Ł3k for a nice two pack paintjob..

Top pics! We have got to sort something else out, i've always wanted a go at a track day, hint hint! And if it was a field of RSis least you would know that you were on the track with enthusiast so your mota would be fairly safe + you wouldn't get your doors blown off that badly, apart from my 95 bhp beast!!

No harm done Pete. Dont worry, mark is just a bit protective of his lovely paint. He's going for some decent cams and a good setup over the winter so expect to see 200bhp plus next year!

Was a cool day and I enjoyed putting names to faces. plus was pleased at how my car stacked up against all the others.

Was a great turnout, we'll have to do something else as an RSi group.

That's exactly why I have looking mud flaps on mine now .... the stones rip hell out of the underside. Not a big fan of them but at least it saves me repainting the sills after every event

Marks paint job was lovely and I hope no lasting damage was done - it wasn't done on purpose I'm sure - just the excitement of the day.

AdRS1600i - I will possibly be doing a trackday soon as I have some more mods to do to the crank sensor and starter motor. If you seriously want a go I'll keep you informed. Possibly around end Oct/Nov time.

Hmmm we'll see what happens m8.... depends on wether I can get my starter motor re-wound down to 10volts in time. Gearbox also needs testing first as the diff's just been rebuild and I've also had some bigger bearings put in the casing.

The 4 speed 950 Fiesta pop box it was on on Saturday is good for 130mph but crap acceleration.

I'll keep working on things - you never know.

oi - less of that sunny jim !!!!!

wont be bringing the RST as it needs alot of work doing to it,ready for next show season.

so - bringing the 16i - see what 118 bhp does to the "santa pod strip" !!!!!

i would hope for high 16's - low 17's sec 1/4mile time's.

Nut RS - Definately want to have a go, just my car isn't particularly up to a general track day thash as it is standard, and fairly tired so would probably end up blowing it up! Was more keen on a track session purely for RSi as most of us would be in a similar boat, except yourself! Definately give us a shout if you end up going, I definately think of something!

This is a proper crazy idea, but I have alway fancied a go round the Nerberg Ring (spelt totally wrong!), that would be proper cool!

Have to have a think about Santa Pod as my RSi is off the road at the moment and not insured. i would definately go anyway, probably get the RSi insured for the day if enough people go.....I aint racing anything though apart from standard Nova SR's and popular plus Ford Fiestas

Totally agree something else should be sorted out....
