so i have an escort and want rear discs, but i have abs, was told focus hubs fit the same bolt pattern as my rear beam, great simple done, but wait suddenly i need to machine the hubs to fit the escort abs ring and then drill the abs sensor hole to fit the escort sensor, not so great, but the question that i cannot get an answer to is... why cant i just use the abs ring and sensor that comes with the focus hubs? can i not just cut and wire in the focus sensor wire to the escort sensor wiring?

 

It would probably confuse the abs control unit because it would be trying to take a reading from a different style of sensor to what it is setup for

 

know many that have bought st170 rear discs set ups from me and had no issues

 

is that with the abs connected or modified? at this rate i may stick some on and just tie the sensors to the back to keep the unit happy , i dont need rear abs anyway right haha

 

also its deffo the st 170 focus rears? i was told before it was just mk1 focus that fit?

 

st170 rears fits fine as I even did the conversion on a escort gti some years back now I just sell the rear brake set ups when I have them

 

what about the abs? still needs to be modified to put on escort with it?
