dismantling dials to get to warning bulbs? tips?
hi i have the ABS warning light always on - i dont have ABS. my first post asked bout this.
think i have found the problem - fuse box is off an escort car that had ABS??
i do not want to fork out for a 55 van box to find out it i am wrong.
to me it calls for a bodge...i remove the bulb instead.
i am sure some one here must have tried this? is it easy? (probably not!)
i am a competent mechanic.....but on the heat and hammers side of things. not electrics or fiddling with screwdrivers to release internal plastic tabs.
any tips would be appreciated.........my current thinking is to cut into the plastic housing with my multitool. if i carefully did it just above the bulb could i pull the bulb out?
