Default clutch pedal modification

My escort clutch pedal was modded by previous owner. A 4inch extension has been fitted to the top of the pedal and the cable is connected to this instead of the plastic quadrant. The clutch action is very sticky and heavy. Has anybody seen this mod as I think mine has been done incorrectly as the cable is too high.

Thanks , Steve

Default clutch pedal mod

hi andy, Its difficult to photograph with my camera not focusing close up well. The quadrant is still there but not used and the extension is jammed above it.
thanks, Steve

Sounds a bit of a monkey job to be fair. How dose it adjust it's self as that's what the quadrant is for.

Has it got an allen headed bolt up there to adjust the cable? , the later Escorts had this from factory.

Some info here http://www.apracing.com/Info.aspx?In...0&ProductID=34
