Hello mate.
I know the car youre talkin about mate, it was in the August 2002 edition of Classic Ford in the buying/modifying guide to the RS1600i, but was also featured in Fast Ford a while back ( mates got the issue ). The guy who owned it at the time was a guy called Andy McGlashan, i dont know whether hes still got as a couple of months ago it was up for sale.
Ive seen the car a couple of times, once down a local cruise and a couple of times at the 80's Ford cub meets, but i havent been for a while so dont know whats happened to it, nice car though, even if the purists hate it!
Cheers

So? just cos it runs on a dizz. dosent mean you have to dis it and call it an XR3, some people just arent into concours, theyre into getting the best out the motor and having somthing different

It would have been nice to see a correct one for the buyers guide, then people would know what to look for.

It was used in classic ford for modifying guide not buying guide, even though the modfying guide told us nothing we didnt know already!!
Pete-rsi i wasent going off on one just saying that its out of order to diss it cos its not totally boggo and original like. If your coils packed up and there were no spares would you just mothball the motor in the garage because if you put a dizzy on it it would be sacralege ( sorry dont know the spelling! ) ???????

No need to get your knickers in a knot matey

I didn't actually diss it at all, I was just asking a rhetorical question about it running on a dizzy.

To be honest I like the colour and the wheels but cant see the point in a 16i with no coils etc. But thats just my opinion which I'm entitled to.

FYI I'M NOT A BUFTY BOY ( Concourser )
