Default leather

Just got a leather recaro interior for my saph but its cracked in places. I don't expect miracles but is there a product out there that can stain the discoloured cracked bits back to black? I've got a meguirs leather cleaner/softener but I don't think its gonna do what I need, just want it to look a bit tidier till I can afford to retrim it all. Oh there's some overspray on it aswell, is it safe to use thinners on leather??
