Default paint depth/hardness-

i want to know the above on the saph,its been resprayed before i bought her so bit of a lottery choosing correct products for polishing etc, is there reasonably priced depth reader for keen amateurs and can they tell you the hardness?
Failing tht , is there a good place i can goto for testing the depth and hardess?
dont mind travelling to find out!!?pb is too far tho lol

Thats pretty much the same as the one i use, except mine doesnt have the funky backlight.

Does the job tho, just make sure you calibrate it before every time you use it

As for hardness it is not something you can measure with a gauge or meter etc.

Just start with the least abrasive polish and work up the scale of polishes and pads if needed.

if it's been sprayed to a decent finish, you'll be able to polish a fair bit til you break through the lacquer with a fine polish. even with rotary.

if you've got a Meg's G220 DA polisher then even better + safer.
