Best wax?
Depends on where you're wanting to see an improvement - looks or durability?
For looks, given than 90-95% of the overall look is achieved by all the pre wax stages (i.e the polishing/glazing etc.), then to change or upgrade could only give you a slight 'change' in appearance, which might or might not be 'better', and is often largely subjective. People often convince themselves that their new (and usually more expensive) wax looks better to justify the purchase.
We had a large and controlled wax test on Detailing World last year where several identical cars were prepped in the same way and half a dozen waxes ranging from 'budget' to 'mega bucks' prices were applied, and in most cases people either couldn't see the difference, or they voted for the cheaper ones (nobody knew which wax was on which car).
Now durability can be quite similar and it doesn't necessarily follow that spending more will show an improvement here, but it is often the case that the premium 'boutique' waxes do last longer. Having said that, I've recently rediscovered Meguiar's #16 and for the paltry sum of about £12 for a big tin, it's up there with the best waxes for durability.
So, if you're currently using AG HDW, then I'd suggest having a look at either of the Raceglaze waxes (42 or 55), any of the Dodo Juice range (which one depends on if you prefer a hard or soft consistancy and what colour your car is), or their range topping Supernatural, or new triple layered 'Austintatious'. Have a look at the Meguiars #16 as well, which in my honest opinion does everything the AG HDW does but for a third of the cost.

To add to the useful information posted above, a lot depends on the colour of your car, as certain products work better than others on certain colours. For our thoughts, and example images, please see the sticky threads at the top of the Concours d'élégance section.
My AG HDW is getting low and I have been looking at these to replace them, which do you recommend?
Dodo juice, dont know what colour i should be looking at either!
Poorboys natty paste (I dont know what colour i should be getting) (its a Black Peugeot)
and then i am looking at this that my brother has just got, Collinite No. 476S - Super Doublecoat Auto Wax also to top off the list Chemical Guys - Pete's 53 Paste Wax!
What would you suggest?

Just to stick one in the mix lol, ClearKote, carnuba vanilla moose wax, I've been using this recently and is a good wax, not the most durable but leaves a nice finish. Got mine from detailed obsession and is half the price of HD wax.

Applied this to a mates daily driver that was washed every week and he got a good 3 months worth of protection with no real up keep.
Durability:

It does continue to bead for a year as well.

This paste wax offers truly outstanding performance on all colours. Sub-named ‘The Permanent Auto Wax’, this finishing wax is more durable, and can outlast, any other finishing wax currently available. It’s extreme durability levels will fully protect your paint, and will bead water tightly and uniformly. Just one application can last for a whole year, making this product perfect for those who want a great finish, but cannot regularly top up their finishing wax. It’s also ideal for those wanting the ultimate protection for their paintwork throughout the winter, or for those who’s vehicles may be exposed to harsh conditions. #476s will protect all year round against UV rays, rain, snow, road salt, bugs, air pollution and other factors that can attack your paint. It provides a wet look finish, and is clearcoat safe. Suitable for use on all paint colours and finishes, and for use all year round. Collinite is supplied in a tin, as per Collinite tradition – the company firmly believe that all the cost should go into the product, and not the packaging. 9oz can.
