i'd like to re-use my std header tank and washer bottle from my mk1 xr2 but theyre very discoloured n manky.what could i use to make them cleaner and the header tank not as brown?

do what i did chris, clean the bottles ad tanks in a bucket of hot boiling water with plenty of degreaser and washing up liquid. Then when they are done, scrub them with a plastic scourer pad using thinners. Then rinse again. I did this to my mk3 header tank and it came out great.....

 

Stick them in a dishwasher

Yeah as said before Dishwasher brings them up like new!

 

i've just done mine.

i degreased it first, then plenty of boiling water and washing powder (bold ) igave it about 4 rinse-through's. i let it dry overnight, blew it out with a hairdryer then broke some pasta swirls in half (NOT COOKED ONES! ) shook it for about 5-6 mins and this is the result
