How long ago was the car painted as you will need to leave it a certain time before sealing to allow the solvents to fully cure, or so i am led to believe.

Other than that, what sort of budget are you looking to spend?

I have had good results with Dodo Juice Ł30 ones and have currently got some of the Ł95 supernatural but i also like to use the Collinite stuff (Ł15-20ish) on some cars as it is longer lasting.

Probably needs machine polishing before anything, if most paint jobs are anything to go by.
All in the prep, need a good surface for your wax to seal on.
Victoria Concours wax is my fave at moment, and at Ł30 a nice price.

As C4llyT says the bodyshop finishes are most of the time to a very poor standard that will leave hologramming in the finish, you will not really notice it unless its under halogen lights or in very strong sunlight. It is very easy to get the holograms out though.

Best thing would be get someone who knows what they are doing to machine polish after with a light cutting polish or finishing polish once you get the car back, this will enhance the gloss and the finish to your car.
