Default How do you restore rubber

I have removed my genuine mudflaps from my cossy while it is in the paint shop but they have gone quiet hard, they are 20 years old mind you but i thought if i can soak them in something to replenish the rubber they may look newish again

Any ideas anyone,

i have already tried......

autoglym rubber plus cleaner (i use it as tyre slick) works on mudguards too though.

apply it with a rag and then leave to dry for half an hour then wipe over it with another rag, dont use your best tea towels though its greasy stuff

hope that helps
