help, novice cleaner, white saff detailing what do i do?
my white saff is looking pretty shit now to say the least
the paint work is really flat n theres all sorts of marks & stains on it
all i do at the moment is use autogylm wash & resin polish.
want to starting doing a proper job on it but dont understand all these wax's n clays n what order your meant to do things
can anyone point me in the right direction please?

Hello mate i have just got my paintwork back up to scratch supprised how easy it was.
Start buy giving it a good wash use one of the meguiars shampoos, then go for their clay aswell it is really easy to use and really good results you can do this without even dryinrg the car after washing but i did dry mine of and use the quick detailer to lubricate it.
The next step is to use their paint cleaner followed by either the gold class wax or tech wax.
Mine really came up well paintwork feels like glass its all expensive stuff but really good, hope this helps you out sa bit.

Hello Cawood, if you want pointing in the right direction have a look at
w w w. detailingworld co uk without spaces and a few dots in the right place, there's loads of threads and advice, but be warned it is addictive, I've just spent 2 days detailing the exterior of my old Sapphire,
and it was fairly clean to start with ! it does help if you have a random orbital sander, as some of the products are best applied with one, I imported one from America, but all the info you need is on the detailingworld site, I've posted a few pics of my car, difficult to tell off the pictures, but when you've done a good detail it not only shines but adds depth to the paint, Good Luck

As you can tell by the tax disc I haven't used the car for a few years !
I stored it for the last 12 years and only got it out of mothballs last year, did about 100 miles last year and will probably do another 100 or so this year........mileage is now 20,000
