when you guys painted floors of your cars did you do so with the engine gearbox ets still in the car

Well im brush painting/rollering mine, i will be removing everything gearbox back, steam cleaning, surface rust removed and treated then painted.

mallard will go on ok with a brush as well if just for protection

if for concours though i would spray it

i originally cleaned the whole floor off with petrol back down to original stonechip then etch primed it, then mallard base then clear lacquer on top

this time i re did a few bits here and there with stone chip, then base and lacquer again

its a serious lot of work to bare metal it mate !!

stripped mines back with grinder and wire attachment thing.loads of coats of paint and powder coated everything on my series two.looked spot on.will be doing it with my new one soon aswell
