Hi there,
There is a PC at work with dying hard disk. I have a spare drive and want to plug it into this PC as drive D and then do an exact mirror of drive C onto new drive D.
Then remove the poorly drive C, and connect drive D up as Master. And then hope to just turn on and use it as before. Will this work? Anyone got links to any free software that copys an exact mirror image of hard disk info?
cheers,
steve

Yup, just need a copy of norton ghost, that'll do it!
Failing that, if your running windows XP, then you can just use Disk management to set up a mirror. Then ditch the old one, and bob's your uncle!
