Default Windows ME and CD burning

I am about to install a CDRW in my mother in law's PC. She is running windows ME.
Does it have built-in CD burning capabilities, or, do I need to install something like NERO ?
She's only using it to back digital pictures up, nothing fancy.

Thanks for the help.

I'd rather not have to explain how NERO works if there is an easier way

Well, the mother in law is not that computer savvy - I was sort of hoping that windows Me would have an easy drag-drop option which would take care of everying (e.g. closing sessions, etc...), if it doesn't I have no choice and Nero it is, but I will probably end up spending a week's worh of evenings playing telephone support

Windows ME does not have a built in cd-writing program, so best to use nero, or easy cd-creator, or clone cd
