Well as Microsoft continue their xbox windows store unification there are a few games already over on the PC ( Gears of War, Quantum Break etc..). The most recent announced is Forza 6:apex.


The windows 10 store is still a bit iffy and the game has no career, no multiplayer, no wheel support, only 60 cars. (Think of it like GT prologue)
However, it's going to be free, and it's a start that turn10 have been wanting to develop for PC for a while.
"Turn 10 also confirmed to IGN that future Forza Motorsport games would be developed concurrently for PC and Xbox One."

 

Personally i think its a shit move.Come the next gen there will be no reason to buy an xbox at all. just when it looks like the xbox team are getting their shit together they pull this shit.

Im all for cross platform play.... on multi plat games but there should still be exclusives for each platform. Som pc games just would not work on console..... and some console games should stay on consoles.

I like consoles due to the level playing field. Everyones resoloution and framerate is the same. Everyone is using a controller.....everyone has the same draw distances.
The minute crossplay happens on shooters between console and pc its game over for console owners. You would have no chance against mouse.

 

This is one good looking game...

 

There will always be those that cant afford a gaming PC and want the simplicity of a console, so there will be plenty of reason to get the next one.

Also, this is not "cross-play". This is just more games coming to another platform. Being able to have the choice of whether to play Forza on xbone or PC. I have a PC, I dont have an xbox so this suits me fine. I don't want to buy an xbox to play games with inferior graphics and low frame rates.

Exclusives do nothing good for anyone. It hurts the consumers, and it gives devs a bad rep for taking huge bungs to limit their target market.

I'm curious. Name a console game that wouldnt work on PC? Seeing as PC's can use both ps4 and xbox controllers. Not to mention any other controller you like.

 

FPS isn't as good on this game can drop to high 20's

Plays well though and certainly looks good..

 

What settings are you using?

On my 970gtx I'm using High/Ultra settings @1080 with x2msaa and its solid 60FPS.

1440p running x8 MSAA!!!! there is your problem. You'd need like 8+gig of VRAM for that to run smooth.
