Default Wireless keeps disconnecting by itself?

My wireless internet has been working fine, its a newer model netgear router, but the last few days, at random, the wireless on my laptop will drop, then it will re connect itself, then about 2 minutes later the red cross appears over the connection screen and its disconnected, go onto the wireless manager and click connect and it connects fine and works as normal? It does this once or twice an hour, damn annoying, ive tried restarting, and resetting the router, its set up correctly but i can't figure out why it keeps dropping off?

Strange how it self re connects, then drops off again and then wont connect by itself, i then have to do it manually?

My wireless disconnects from my laptop maybe once a day, netgear also. I actually have to re-set the router though by unplugging ?

Change the wireless channel in the router maybe your neighbours wireless is interfering with yours, I've had this 4 times this week all different people.

See if there's a DD-WRT firmware for your router model. I put it on my virgin-supplied dlink and it's miles better.

laptop with built in card mate.

had a belkin router before, and like that one was fine for about 4 months then it kept disconnecting everytime u turned the computer off, the only way to get it to reconnect when you used the laptop again was to sit by the router, then it would be fine.

Purchased this netgear and everythings been fine past few months, now im having more issues !

Problem has got worse, every 5 minutes it disconnects itself, reconnects, then 5 seconds later disconnects again, and then does nothing, then i have to open the wireless manager and connect it myself, then it will stay on for 5 minutes, and then it does it again.

Had a couple of friends over with there laptop and iPad and they had no issues so its got to be my laptop, it was working fine and ive not adjusted or changed anything on it so i cannot think whats wrong with it !

Can you give me the model of the router and the model of your laptop and wireless card. I've just got off the phone with Dell about a similar issue with Latitude 6000 series and want to check something.

Thanks
