Just finished playing it and I feel pretty underwhelmed. Which is a big shame.

 

The demo only allows us to play a very small part of the game.

Once you get into modding, different tracks etc it will open up massively.

 

Pre ordered and paid for mine today can't moan for 35 quid roll on the 14th

like chop im not that impressed really, gt5 plays well better for me....i only had the forza 4 demo on for about 15 mins if that....still got it on order as want the top gear part and photomode stuff...

 

The thing that I was disappointed with was the driving effects.
the video's at e3 showed camera shake, motion blur, tunnel vision at high speeds etc.. Where as it still feels a bit stale still playing the demo

Also, the cars in the garage looked amazing, but the circuit engine looks identical to forza 3. I would have thought there would have been improvements and tweaks, but it was a bit samey.

 

i wanna get a sierra round top gear track etc...

and get some piccys on the go..

Just found out that the much bragged about autovista mode only includes 25 cars. Bit of a let down.

Once you have unlocked all of them you get the warthog.

I think they are about 4 seconds ahead of me! Something along the lines of x min 46 seconds for me, other are x min 44-42 seconds.

y mate from work does fast times with manual gear changes and no traction control. God knows how!

 

I usually have manual but no traction control in a zonda is mega hard lol

 

Someone I know is in the 1:41s with no assists at all and sim steering. Can't get near him.

 

Only have traction on and dont bother using the clutch just manual changes, with zonda best so far is 1:43:438 but thats without any penalty's. I can run 40's with getting penaltys though i think. Just cant get 1 clean lap with the M5 in though which is really annoying..

 

Just hit my fastest on the Zonda lap and 1:45.421

Trying to beat my mate from work and he has a 1:44.401

How the hell did you manage that time?

 

my best is 1:45.881 with abs no traction control or stability control and manual gearbox lol

 

I don't think it matter what aids you use really. I did improve using manual gears though.

Stability off and traction on for me though.

 

Think the key to the quick laps is just being smooth..

Just beat my mate from work by a few hundreds of a second, like fuck can I get any where near any of you lads!

 

I just went nearly a seccond faster haha.. Found some much faster lines now so race that ghost and check them out

 

You still have the penalty thing on mate. Even if you dont go off the track on your lap or touch a wall, you can get a penalty if you hit the wall/ go off track on the 2 straights before the finish line to start your flying lap..

 

How do I turn that off mate?

You cant, if you look next to your lap time while your playing and there is a little triangle with a question mark in then it means you have a penalty. and if you look on the leadeboards all the non-penalty laps will be faster than the ones without penalty.

 

Triangles don't count lol.

well so far ive managed to get from 1:49 to 1:45 doing it without a penalty sean i cant keep up with u to save my life thats a bloody quick lap
