driver?

How are you connecting to it?

Its normally connected via ethernet so you setup the router through its HTTP page.

Cheers for the reply, not exactly a computer genius

Assumed it needed a driver as on the contents list it says
CD-Rom containing manual and usb driver

confused me as it has no usb connection

Cant connect to http page, thats when i get the unable to establish a connection message.

When i click on the the lan connection properties thing its says connected and working correctly, prob a setting i have missed

you will need to set the IP address of your machine in the same range as the router.

If the routers IP address is for example 192.168.0.1 make your PC 192.168.0.2

Same as if its 10.0.0.1 make your pc 10.0.0.2

Then try connecting to the router using http://192.168.0.1 or http://10.0.0.1 or whatever it might be.

Your instructions should tell you the default address it uses.

what operating system is your PC?

if its Windows 2000 or XP go to

START > RUN

then type CMD

Then in the black box that pops up type IPCONFIG

and it will tell you the IP address of your machine.

it should be 192.168.1.x (x could be any number between 2 - 254)

if its anything else then something is wrong.

It is the pc i am using now. At present it is connected via a speed touch modem, which works, but boss has just got a dsl-504t router so he (I) can connect the other pc to the net.

Connected it as the instruction book says, From wall jack to router, router to p.c via ethernet cable
