Does anyone know where i can get a decent free anti-virus? i use SPYBOT S&D to remove bots and spy ware but i need an anti virus for a fresh install.

There's no such thing as "good, free" antivirus.

Ł30 a YEAR will get you Kaspersky Antivirus, and with that you get a 30 day free trial to make sure it works on your machine and tie you over to pay day, and protect you while you umm and aah over whether or not you want your machine to actually be secure.

Go to www.kaspersky.com and get your wallet out.

 

AVG do a free version of their software.

 

AVG is shite tho! You get what you pay for

 

I've used avast for years, always been fine for me!

 

Never had a virus using that.

Plus I think paying for anti virus software is quite ironic. It slows down your computer and constantly bugs you with pop ups.

 

He isn't. I've been using Avast! for years now, it's free and it has never, ever failed me.
