oh no
i went to put my ps3 on the other day and when i put it on its showed the ps3 sign at the start thrn wen the waves pop up scross the screen it just stays the say and wont go on to the menue does any 1 know wot has happendcheers.

Hello m8,
Try this :
try removing the hard drive then booting it up then putting it back in and booting up again.
then try holding the power button while the ps3 is in standby (red light) till it beeps,... then beeps again,...then turns red again,....then let go and hold the power button again real fast you should hear beep....then a double beep beep. let go of button and you should see recovery console. choose rebuild file system. it will reboot and go through the rebuild steps. then if it still doesnt work go through the steps of recovery consol again and choose rebuild database.
