load the game up , and wait till it gets to the downloading settings screen , whilst the message is displayed switch the playstation off on the switch (rear left)
then unplug the power from your router for 30 seconds and plug back in .
wait till you get internet connection again and switch the ps back on
when its signed back in to the ps network go to network settings - internet connection- click disable and wait a few seconds - then click enable
hopefully you should be good to go then m8 .
i have to do this 2 or 3 times a week if i want to get on cod4
ps thank Matt (taven) if it works , he spent hours finding the cure for me

When the PS3 is on you should never flick the switch at the back of it to turn it off, it can do serious damage to the unit.

We should just set it up so than you can only stab each other, that would stop the finger slipping moments.
I didn't know you could disable fast run, thought my controler was broken!
Slight of hand works on the rpg too!!!

If and when I get the downloading game settings all I do is unplug the router for 10 seconds and that fixes it. Generally it's when I go from COD4 to WAW and vice versa.

i mean blacky actually walked up to me last night and stood there ! at one point i thought he was guna break into a jig and start bobbing his tongue out whilst i was trying to work out how to kill him with the fuckin controller of many buttons 
then killed us both with a hand grenade it wasnt planned i must of dropped the cunt by acciedent whilt pressing a button which i hoped would shoot him
