Blue screen Win Xp
When booting up my laptop, it trys to load windows but i see a blue screen for literally one second then it restarts and the cycle starts again. Is there any way i can repair windows using the CD without losing my data? Ive already gone into the bios and changed the boot order to boot from cd.....just need some advice as what to do next!?
Why is it Blue screening in the first place and can you see the error code? Have you installed any updated drivers or updates for software lately? Replaced/Upgraded any components on your laptop like graphics card or RAM? If you have the XP disc you can try the repair option but you might just find that it still BSOD.

Most likely there's some minor damage that chkdsk needs to fix. I'll put money on the message being "Inaccessible boot device", especially if it was working fine prior to the blue screen.
Is it XP Home or XP Professional? They have slightly different repair options.
