its true tho !! i thought i had connection issues with cod 4 ! this fucking game takes the piss
after taking nealy an hour to get an online game we had a few clan matches last night (some of which werent all that bad) but you either get a game that gives you top bollock connection that allows you to slaughter the other players with whatever gun you are using or (as in my case) a connection that might aswel start you off in the game armed with only a pillow and foul language to blow the tanks up with !!!
example:- i got into a tank and some french cunt blew me up with one bazooka, later on in the game i found said french cunt and hit him with bazooka,,,,,, nothing ! so hit him again,,,, still nothing ! hit him with anti tank grenade ,,,, still nothing!!! and just to cap it off i found another tank jumped in and guess what ? you guessed it , the the cheese eating surrender monkey killed me with one tank shell ..

i know we had a laugh on there last night but i can see me getting sectioned and locked up for life if i play it too much

 

when COD4 was released you used to have to wait 30mins before joining a game... then an update came along and sorted it.. The game has only been out a day, give it a chance..

As with COD4 I cant connect to some users when getting invites.... ! why is this, and how can I sort it please..

i love it,its nice to be back in world war 2 with some weapons that require a bit of skill to use
all you people moaning about connection issues lol,thats down to your bottom of the range playstation network not the game

 

yeah ok then, thats why my m8 who has a shitbox has allready sold his copy he's not bothered tho as he made a proffit on it

 

yeah well xbox live aint much better,ive had both and back to playing on pc now
its the only platform worth bothering with for online gaming

whats the deal with pc gaming then ? im guessing you have a wired or wireless controller for the pooter . i supose you can hook it up to a big screen too although is it in hd ?

 

dedicated servers
on consoles when you connect to a game its one of the players in the game thats hosting ,if theyve got a bad connection or theyre on the other side of the planet its gonna suck.
when you play on pc you choose from a list of servers,you can see what country its hosted in and can even see what players are in the game before you join.
we got a 14 player server thats hosted in holland and is online 24/7, can run cod4 or cod waw on it

I wasn't in a rush to get it, went to blockbusters last night, 3 blu-rays rented for a tenner, and Call Of Duty 5 for 37.99. Put it in last night, downloaded the update and been playing it most of today. Bit of online and a bit of single player to get used to it.

Excellent as COD 4 IMO

 

must admit i prefer cod 4 as well although it is growing on me

I havnt touched it since, i think its the devils breath, stinks of shite...saying that i may, and its a maybe i will go on later to see if it gets better, i really wanted to like this game but feels like someone has broken into my house on christmas day nicked my presents and pissed on my kid...thats how dissapointed i am

I like it the double barrol shot gun is where it's at in the search and destroy mode lads, a few more kills and i'll have the sawn of perk for it too!

Get yourselves hooked up with the MP40 for team death matchs and plan your reloads, it's lot harder to kill the fuckers this time around. I think your doing well sometimes to get one kill per clip. Let them waste their ammo on you while you run around then, while their reloading move in for the kill. If you dive to the floor, lay flat (not crouch) and press the change gun buttom really fast the red writting above your head won't show up and they sometimes think your dead. Wait for them to move on then shank them in the back.

had a couple of games last night , wasnt too bad but online play is still very hit and miss . i cant wait till they sort out an update for it tho especially to stop it ending the party after every game .
i think its a game that could grow on you if you spent enough time on it but imo it wil never be as good as cod4

 

Just been plaing 4 player co-op, thats really good...but its still shit deep down hahaha

 

only played it last night for an hour, not really had a proper play yet, had one game online last night tho, got into a game straight away, full signal........they seem to die alot easier when you have a full connection bar lol

 

im actually really liking it now.first co op game last nite with mr broadside.good laugh.got my headset connected now aswell.will be on most of today after 2 oclock.sees yous in the feild

 

I got a bit of time on it yesterday and it's really growing on me. The only gripe is it's not updating my stats and instead of switching host it will just end the game. It's something new though so I'll stick with it either way

 

I quite like it. Like Westy has said above when i first played COD4 i couldn't really get into it.. But the more i play it the more i like the maps etc etc... Love the map where there is loads of water and huts (miniki or something)

Shame the fuckin dogs even get ya in the water

Actually having a change and doing the proper one player solo game. Amazingly it's quite good!

 

Got it on Friday, got a few hours in single player to get used to it and thought it was really good.

Then i HAD () to go on a boys weekend to Newcastle so ive not touched it since

Might get on tonight and have a bash at the online play, see the maps etc.

 

I enjoyed the co-op games there really good, steve was my health whore reviving me all the time but was a laugh...i will be on again tonight, its getting better but still shit lol

Just had an hour or so online tonight - FUCK ME. I am shit at this got nailed everygame.
