TightVNC is a free remote control package derived from the popular VNC software. With TightVNC, you can see the desktop of a remote machine and control it with your local mouse and keyboard, just like you would do it sitting in the front of that computer. TightVNC is:
free, GPL-licensed, with full source code available;
useful in remote administration, remote customer support, education, and for many other purposes;
cross-platform, available for Windows and Unix, compatible with other VNC software;
well maintained and being actively developed.
If you would like to learn more about TightVNC, consider reading this short introduction. Also, check the documentation pages where you will find answers to many important questions.

One thing I haven't yet worked out is how to access a computer from the internet when it's on a LAN, behind a server and/or firewall.
Obviously the server has an IP address it can be contacted on, but the PCs behind it don'aren't directly addressable... or are they?
Would help me no end
