i want to upload a datalogging program for my car onto a laptop...its a old one

compaq armada 7330t
via a seriel lead

the laptop runs windows 95 ..and my pc is windows xp pro"not genuine"

when connected via the lead.i carnt seem to get the pc to locate the lappy.to send the data to..

is there a way to make this work.or am i pissing up a rope

hope there is a way as it cost me £50 for the powerpack for the laptop

i can take pics of the sockets i am using if that helps

 

The old serial leads....

I used to use a program called LapLink which used serial leads to connect from PC to PC..

Laplink will probably be the only way of doing a win xp - win 95 transfer via a serial cable
