has anyone tried it yet ?

seen them for sale on fleebay, beta 2 version complete with product key

whats it like ?

Seen screenshots and it looks very nice but its still in beta stage which means theres bugs, thats why i havent tried it because knowing my luck something will go tits up

It was free if you sign up before they started the beta, if you didnt then its way too late now

download the RC1 version from Microsoft. It is much quicker than the Beta 2 and the install is also quicker.

All you need is the product key.

Download RC2 from Micro$oft then they supply the product key.

Id imagine so yeah, otherwise when the final product hits the shops nobody will buy it although you probably need to so you can get the windows updates, there very sneaky like that MS

I installed a copy of rc1 evaluation vista

product key lasts 6 months

Not really used it much but is impressive so farr

I have downloaded the .iso vista file, which is 2.52 GB

and have burnt it to a DVD+R, but it wont ask me to install, and when i try to boot from the disc, it says boot disk error/failure

how do i get it right?

The easiest way without ruining an existing machine is to create a virtual session using VMWare and run it inside that. Using NAT'd addressing, it can use your existing internet connection inside the virtual session so you can get drivers, software all the usual stuff.
