What do you lot recon? Is there a future here in the U.K for software development careers.

Is it worth going to uni and studying computer science?

im in the IT industry and many of the people I know in it are now learning plumbing and brick laying as they can earn better money doing this because the IT market is flooded with people and more are coming.
